FALSE CREEK COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION
The False Creek Community Association (FCCA) and the Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation have been partners in the administration and operation of the False Creek Community Centre for almost 35 years. Through those years, the Association has always respected the demands on Park Board that a growing and thriving city produces. We’ve worked collaboratively to address their concerns while still meeting the unique needs and demands of our dynamic little neighbourhood. The Association believes that this equal partnership works best to address the delicate balance between being part of a network of community centres, responsive to the needs of the city and Park Board while still maintaining and meeting the specific needs of the False Creek community. ....read the whole article.
Parent and Infant Group
A great opportunity for you and your child to meet other new parents and babies hear guest speakers and talk with public health nurses about your baby’s development. Program is open to babies who are not yet crawling. This is a free drop-in program, (no registration required) however, parents must purchase a False Creek Community Association membership at the front office for $10/year.

YOUR WATERFRONT COMMUNITY CENTRE!
Now is the time to register for the False Creek Community Centre’s exciting 2013 waterfront programs. Whether you are an absolute beginner or have a few years of paddling experience there is a course to suit your needs. After last year’s successful season we would encourage you to register soon, the classes fill up quickly once summer arrives.
Summer 2013 is shaping up to be an amazing paddling season and we look forward to seeing you out on the water!

Intro to Kayaking
Learn the basics of sea kayaking in the sheltered waters of Alder Bay, including capsize recovery techniques. Find out how you can become eligible for a 50% discount off a one month membership to our Kayak Club after successful completion of this course.
